Autobody work is tricky business.  The only control you have over the repair of your damaged car is the trust in the repair shop you selected.

There are three major aspects that one should be concerned about in a collision repair:

  •       Your car should look as good as it did prior to collision
  •       Your car should be as safe as it was before
  •       The repair must last
  •  Let us address each of this issues separately:

The appearance of the car is something that almost everyone can see and judge.  Most of the shops will try their best to make their repair look the best.  There are many ways to achieve good appearance including painted cardboard, body filler and foil.

If your car was in a accident it probably took the impact and sacrificed itself to protect you and the passengers.  If the same situation were to happen again, would the car be able to save your life as well?  While performing our 6-page reports, we often see damaged structural components that are camouflaged to look normal. Some of these “repairs” severely impact safety and drivability of the car.

The invention of fiberglass and body filler has opened many opportunities for art-oriented body experts.  Instead of replacing or repairing damaged body components they apply a plastic over the damaged area and shape it to look like original.  Quite often you need time to recognize this “artwork” from a good repair job. Improper repair will cause rust underneath the body filler and may not become obvious in time to apply for justice.

You have the right to have your car repaired in any repair shop you trust.  Your insurance company might recommend you certain shops, but before you decide to accept their recommendation, make sure that they are trying to help you and not themselves.

One cannot put a price on reputation.  We have earned our customers’ trust and it is not for sale.
